Chris had the opportunity to race around the Pukekohe Raceway for 2 hours. (Christmas present from Teri). Teri and I both went to watch and we all had a good time - especially Chris, as you can see from the photos below.

Chris has just had his 'safety talk' and is rearing to go!!!!
Off he goes - can you see the huge smile on his face?

End of the first lap

Chris also got the chance to ride in one of the V8 cars (above)

All finished
What a great day. Doesn't he look happy?

On 21st April it was my birthday. I had a lovely day. Firstly Mum shouted me out to lunch at Steely Blue Cafe at Takanini. Ang, Philip and Mum came out to ouer place for afternoon tea. I did not know what had been planned for dinner until nearer the time. We all went to our local and favourite restaurant "Tiffins" at Papakura. Di, Ron and the children also came.

On the 15th Aprl it was Philip's 24th Birthday. We celebrated the night before as it was a Saturday night. I made a chocolate mud-cake as a birthday cake. We then went to the Horse and Trap Pub at Mt Eden for a few drinks together with a few of Ang and Philip's friends.

On 23rd March we booked cheap flights to Christchurch for our 29th Wedding Anniversary. We had dinner the first night with Steve. I had the nicest fish meal I have had in a long time. We also drove to Dunedin to visit Michael who was in Dunedin Hospital. We spent 2 nights in Dunedin and also spent time with Christine and Wayne. After leaving Dunedin we called in at the famous Fleur's place at Moeraki, where we had another fish meal but not nearly as nice. We called in at Lake Tekapo for the night. Unfortunately the weather was a bit overcast so the photos are not nearly as picturesque as usual. We then had a night with John and Marie in Christchurch. Glenis also came for dinner. We had a beautiful meal and it was lovely to catch up with them all again. Then it was HOME AGAIN!!!!!!
